Make This Look #1 - Lemon Dress

As I am presently without a waist, my sewing for me has slowed considerably, making only on an 'as needed' basis, with an expectation that none of my measurements are stable, or will be for perhaps the next 12 months.

But I still like looking at patterns.

About 4 years ago, Sew Weekly ran a series of 'Make this Look' posts, in which they paired off the rack garments with similar patterns and fabrics, to enable people to recreate the look at home. It reminded me of fashion plates, and was so my thing, it wasn't funny. I even had a go at making one.

So this seemed an opportune time to have a go at this myself. Here's my first 'Make this Look' post. All supplies from UK stores.

I've added in the accessories as well, since it's my imaginary shopping trip, and I'll buy if I want to.

The fabric is a cotton spandex sateen. It can be found from Fabricland's horrible website is here (go to printed cottons). But probably easier to call them, the design is called 'Lemon Tree'.
You can check out the original dress at harrods.com
The pattern can be purchased from jaycotts.co.uk.
Shoes from clarks.co.uk
Satchel bag at uk.accessorize.com
